Why your skin needs 8 hours of beauty sleep too

The beauty of skin lies within our determination to care. We constantly find ourselves researching for new remedies, new techniques, and up to date products without harmful ingredients. What if I told you that sleep was the key ingredient to any skin care regimen? I'll explain the benefits to being sleeping beauty, but also will share personal experiences on my journey to healthy, glowing skin.


Studies typically suggest that the average person needs about 8 hours of fully rested sleep. In this day and age, we find ourselves out of time to properly maintain a healthy lifestyle for healthier, younger, looking skin. The best kept secret of this lies simply in our sleep! The body rejuvenates itself, healing throughout the night as we go through our phases in sleep. During this time, cells are being reproduced, new skin emerges, new hair, etc. Our body works in an incredible way, but we must be persistent with our sleeping routine. Not only does it help with our physical needs, but it also serves as our fountain of youth. Starting your day with enough energy from a well rested night will not only get you feeling great, but will also have you looking great and your appearance will reflect that!


Some of my beauty tips and tricks have helped not just myself but many women find their perfect regimen for their skin. Starting with your sleep and following by a nutritious diet will have you on the road to beautiful skin. Be cautious of the skin type you may have and explore foods that will benefit that particular skin type. I strongly suggest seeing a dermatologist and nutritionist for proper diagnoses.
